Ever since I saw David Copperfield escape from Alcatraz I’ve been wanting to visit. About three weeks ago this became a reality. And I escaped and lived to post photos about it. It just took me a while to upload them.
I was looking for a while for a good travel bag to use with my iPad. I wanted something with the following characteristics:
I found this cheap Case Logic bag: The BUA-10 7-10″ Netbook / iPad Attaché. While it’s not really designed for the iPad (it’s about 2 centimeters too long), it happens to be almost perfect.

It has a little front pocket, and inside there is a business card holder, a pen holder, and another small pocket.
To be honest, the build quality of the bag could be better, but for $20 I’m not going to complain much. Recommended. But if you want something nice, this Targus bag (which is not out yet) is more expensive but looks good.

From Israeli TV show “Eretz Nehederet“. If you don’t get the video, then you probably don’t own an iPhone and a certain top selling game.
I am particularly glad to no longer be asked when the Beatles are coming to iTunes
… quoted in today’s press release in which Apple announces the availability of The Beatles on iTunes. At least they only asked him the same thing for seven years. Trust me, it could be worse.
Only in Austin (ok, maybe not): you can have your butt tattooed in one place, and then have it promptly and conveniently removed next door once the alcohol has worn off and you’ve realized what a huge mistake you made.

I took this photo outside of the north Whole Foods Market with my iPhone camera, no post processing. I didn’t even know there were so many kinds of pumpkins!
My nephew finally upgraded to a new iPhone, so we can video chat using FaceTime.

Today was the first ever Gypsy Picnic Trailer Food Festival. Food trailers have been popping up everywhere in Austin these last few years. The great thing about food trailers is that you can drive them around, so finally somebody had the great idea of putting a festival together at Auditorium Shores: Good, varied, affordable food all in one place.
