I went to Monterrey for Rosh Hashana. Yossy, Tomer and Carlos came with me. Funny to take an israeli to Mexico and all he gets to eat is Yiddish food (*very* good Yiddish food). Yossy had his first gefilte fish and he liked it.
All in all a very good start for a new year.
Austin City Limits
Last Saturday we went to the second Austin City Limits Music Festival. This huge three day event is hosted in Zilker Park. Why did I go on Saturday (and not on Sunday, when R.E.M. played)?
To see Café Tacvba, of course. They are, I think, the best band in México today. The concert was excellent and much better in every aspect than anything else I saw at the festival. To bad it was so short.
New Powerbooks
Today at Apple Expo Paris, Mr. Jobs himself introduced a new 15″ Aluminum Powerbook. Small speedbumps for the 12 inch and 17 inch machines were also announced. Overall, I’m not impressed. The Powerbook line is now so far behind in performance to the Power Mac G5 line that it’s not even funny.
This could change soon.
They also introduced a wireless keyboard and mouse. This is the coolest Bluetooth one-button mouse ever :). If only my iBook had Bluetooth….

Migrating… once more
I was hesitant to use Movable Type since I’m not a big fan of Perl. But after Moi recommended it, and to have greater control over what I do, I decided to install it. This is the third system I try, and hopefully this one WILL stick.
NI Eagles wins first game
We started in Austin’s Third division with the right foot, defeating Cameron Road United 4-2… We scored the first goal and went to half time 1-0, but they scored two quick goals and were ahead 2-1 early in the second half. We were able to pull it off though.
Novotny, Jernimo, Papa and Dave Fuller scored for us.

Not much activity here
Man… I haven’t posted anything to this website in months… The problem is I was writing all the PHP from scratch, had a small system up and running but I got sick of enhancing it, I’m too busy with work. I need to get a good blogging system, then I’ll start all over with this website.
