Just as my 2010 stock was depleted, I received the 2011 shipment (thank you, parents). As far as I know, my house is the only household in Austin with a uninterrupted supply of Noche Buena beer since 2002. Feel free to stop by for a cold one!
My parents were in town recently. Faithful to the tradition, my dad brought me a fancy beer. This time it was the new special edition Bohemia Frida Kahlo. That’s right: it’s Bohemia Beer, but the image of the famous Mexican painter is all over it. The beer itself comes in two different flavors and there is a booklet with some history. Check it out:
The Flaming Doctor Pepper is a popular drink made of beer, Amaretto, and a little bit of Everclear. It’s quite the popular attraction in Cheer’s Shot Bar on Sixth Street, where I shot this impressive video last weekend showing how it’s prepared. Make sure you get out of the way!
Yesterday I received a new and mysterious bottle of Tequila that my dad sent me. My dad somehow manages to find me some wonderful and rare drink every now and then. The brand: “Don José Luis Del Toro Ramírez“. I had never heard about it and I couldn’t find anything about it on Google. So here’s the story:

Went to five different parties through the night, and then had to go take care of something that involved policemen, fights, lawyers and jails (nothing too serious, don’t worry).
