On Wednesday, a few friends and I went to see U2 at the Reliant Stadium in Houston. In order to be allowed to buy tickets early to what I thought would be a quick sellout, I became a member of the U2 Fan Club ($!). The concert didn’t sell out, but the General Admission tickets did, so the plan paid off.
More after the break…
We arrived to the stadium about two hours early, which isn’t really that much. Once we got to there, Pepe Correa started aggressively flirting with the security guard. After a few minutes of this, he let us into the “Inner Circle”: that’s the area right by the stage just a few feet away from the band. Special wristband required. Not bad for a concert with over 80,000 attendees.
Muse opened and played for about 45 minutes. They were good but the audio was terrible.
Then came U2 and played for about two hours. A very good concert and their stage was really incredible. See for yourself in The MKX® Photo Central.
