Monterrey Campeón

I just posted some pictures from the final in the Tecnológico Stadium where Monterrey flipped the 2-1 score against them and defeated Hugo Sanchez’s Pumas to become the champions of the Apertura 2004 tournament.

Duro Rayados!

Guillermo Franco celebrates his third goal against Pumas in the final

Franco can’t contain his tears of joy while Urdiales stares in desbelief at the new champions.

People went to the streets to celebrate the championship.

Team members on their way to pick up their trophy.

Herrera’s short career as a coach has given him his first championship.

Monterrey is in the final!

Semifinal away game (Estadio Azteca): Atlante 2-4 Monterrey
Semifinal home game (Estadio Tecnolgico): Monterrey 3-1 Atlante

Should I fly to Monterrey for the game? (who am I kidding?! Of course!)
Update: I just bought my plane tickets. Monterrey Campeón!
Update 2: First leg: Pumas 2-1 Monterrey (shit). Things will be intense on Saturday.

Logitech® USB Headset for PS2 on Mac OS X

I just bought the network adapter for PS2 so I can play FIFA 2005. Of course, I bought the a headset so I can talk to whoever is beating me.

The headset has a USB connection. So of course I had to try it on my iBook!
I was very surprised to see my mac (running 10.3.6) recognize it for both input and output. You can select it in iChat too!

Not too bad. I’m tempted to try a better headset now. Anybody tried the more expensive, stereo, noise-canceling models?

Off to Monterrey!

Tomorrow morning I’m driving to Mexico for thanksgiving (no turkey – lots of tacos).
Not only do I get to spend 4 days over there, I also get to go to the stadium to see Monterrey VS Pachuca (quarter final) on Thursday and Gustavo Cerati in concert on Saturday.

Also, it’s almost that time of the year again: the hollidays. Those it mean I get into the whole christmas spirit thing? No. It means I need to stack up on the Nochebuena beer again. It has to last for a year!

Jealous?
