I just added Domene’s blog to the sidebar links.
And it’s in both spanish and english!
Category Archives: My Blog
Yummy, it’s del.icio.us!
Ever heard of del.icio.us?
It’s a “social bookmarks manager”. In english, it means that I can quickly and easily add links I find interesting to the Marcos Kirsch Experience®, and that’s what our thousands of readers want.
So, if you look at the sidebars, there’s a new del.icio.us sidebar. Also, at the bottom of the sidebar you can subscribe to the del.icio.us RSS feed. There is also a feed for the main site. RSS is, in case you don’t know, the best thing to hit the web browser since tabbed browsing. (get Firefox now and look for the orange thingy symbol in the bottom right corner!).
Being hipper than me, Moi has had a del.icio.us sidebar in his blog for some time now.
Happy New Year!!!
Have a great 2005!This blog is now 2 years old. Time flies.I’ll post some pictures of last night later. Also, since you are reading this, it means you are not terribly busy. So please click here and then click on the correct number. I need the soldiers.Update: That’s 3 years old, not 2.
Updated links
Caimanlandia is Diego “Deigo” Reyes’ new blog (a.k.a. El Caimn by somebody, apparently).
Mi primera página, Aizik’s formerly excellent blog has now been dropped for lack of updates… Hope to add it back soon (this should put lots of pressure on him).
Caimanlandia looks suspiciously like Coffee&Concrete.
Killing Comment Spam Dead
I’m sick of getting comment spam. Sure, I need penis enlargement pills, viagra, online poker systems and a fake diploma… but I don’t need it advertised all over my blog[1].
So, after waking up to see a few dozen advertisements posted all over the place, I decided to do something about it: I installed MT-Blacklist. We’ll see how well it works.
[1]: Not true.
Coffee&Concrete
Yosi Levinson‘s new blog is now online: Coffee&Concrete.
It now has the honor (shame?) of being a permanent link on the friends sidebar.
So, if you somehow end up here, click on that link and go read something more interesting.
BBClone installed
Last night I installed BBClone. It’s a pretty darn cool counter and statistics package. It’s Open Source.
A counter would have been nice when I first posted the 1984 Side by Side comparison, when traffic peaked.
Now, this counter will help me see whether I write this only for myself or other people actually waste their time in this website (unlikely).
Really, I wanted to learn how BBClone is used in order to see if it is feasable integrating it into my other website. I think it is. Man, we really need good counter statistics over there.
New sidebar link
My friend Assaf Avni practically begged me to add a link on the sidebar of my website in order to increase traffic to his website.
Transcript from conversation:
YES YES YES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PUT PUT PUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s very cool, go check it out.
Yet another boring, ugly look hits this website.
So what?
Moi never (hasn’t?) made good on his redesign help promises.
New .mac sidebar!
Integration nirvana! (well not really)…
I have created a small and simple php script to extract the links from my .mac account so I can put them in the sidebar.
I have called it:
And it works! I will make this available freely, as soon as I can clean up the code. But if you need it sooner, just post a comment and I will contact you.
Cool!
This was inspired by a comment from avid reader Moran Tzaban, who pointed out it was really hard to dig through the posts to find the photo albums. Thanks!
